Regulation 2017/2402 has brought a range of requirements that member states must adhere to. However, it has failed to regulate the rather significant element of SPVs. This dissertation will comparatively analyse the securitisation law in Malta, Luxembourg, Ireland, and Italy. It will be examined how the regulation functions in tandem with state law. It will also be demonstrated that certain jurisdictions are favoured over others as securitisation destinations because of how they applied the regulation and state law.en_GB
