Abstract: The purpose of this research is to determine the development of the entire position of cultural diversity within the context of European Integration. It also focuses on the study, which encompasses broad aspects towards effective cultural policy based on the European Union's official documents. Side by side to this, cultural theories are speculated through wide-ranged analysis; hence, being conceived by seeking for elements, which construct common European cultural roots and values represented within the contemporary dynamism of the European Union. Consequently, the characteristic feature within the improvement of both culture and culture diversity is that, the European Union faces one of the main challenges by dealing with national identities and local aspects within European states. The main hypothesis of this work indicates various methods towards strategies of promotion and preservation of the cultural diversity among Europeans. It is however, ultimately crucial, to point out; that the aspect of harnessing the uniqueness of European cultures forms an effective road towards European Union's governance and enlarges the capacity of the Union's cultural legitimacy within the twenty-first century. These methods are embedded through numerous cultural initiatives within the policies of the European Union. Last, but not least, focus is placed on the recognition of common values, such as respect and tolerance, which are linked to the future construction of Europe. In addition to this, it is clear that the process of European Integration is not solely linked to political and economic characteristics. European citizens are connected together by cultural elements, which are expressions of their past generations and which need to be preserved through cultural collaboration and mutual respect for multicultural societies throughout Europe.
