dc.description.abstractL'antroponimia, lo studio dei nomi propri di persona, è un ramo della linguistica storica, in particolare dell' onomastica, cioè lo studio del significato e dell'origine dei nomi propri di tutti i generi. Sono notevoli i contributi che l'antroponimia fornisce alla linguistica, per gli indizi storici, economici e sociali che reca in sé il nome. Infatti, la mia tesi consiste nel riportare i nomi propri di persona dei residenti di Gozo, la seconda isola dell'arcipelago maltese, dal 1900 fino al 2005.en_GB
