Abstract: This study revolves around the history of sports journalism in Malta. It should be informative about the evolution of work in the area going into reports and ethical issues, thanks also to the questions that I will ask to past and present journalists to get professional information. The questions are: How did the methodology of sports journalism change through the years, comparing the past with present? What tools where used in the past, and what tools are used now?, How was the reports compliment carried out in the past compared to the present? Was it more difficult before? Or is it more complicated today?, How where the reports, published and presented in the past compared to today? Which are the most understandable? How did the technology developments changed and impacted the way sports journalism is carried out? Was gender an issue in sports journalism in the past? If so how was it tackled? And how are gender issues tackled nowadays? How has ethical issues and also legal developments impact the way that you operate then and now? (racism, cultural, doping, corruption, impact of online betting and advertising in sport), Future aspirations for the sports journalism industry? These seven questions is what the study should revolve around both in the literature review and especially my findings. The analysis should involve how is Malta fairing to the overseas.
