Abstract: This project-dissertation seeks to map photographically human body changes over brief period of time. The images are then brought together in a photo book. In it, three to four photo shoots of five individuals are presented in order to show the progress of the respective body progressions. The five individuals photographed are: Ylenia portraying an acne transformation; Petra in the process of a weight loss challenge; Thomas growing facial hair; Charlene photographically portrayed during the pregnancy with her first child; and Ken in the process of a hair growth challenge. The portraiture is based on the study of the literature, as well as on the interviews carried out with three professional photographers: Giola Cassar, Kurt Paris and Amanda Hsu.
