Abstract: PURPOSE: The selection of appropriate antiepileptic drugs (AEDs) in paediatric populations depends on seizure type, available drugs, possible drug interactions, and susceptibility to drug toxicity. This study aimed to investigate the prescribing patterns of AEDs in a population of children presenting to a paediatric epilepsy clinic.
METHODS: Clinical records were reviewed retrospectively from the 31st December 2013 to the date of first presentation of each patient to hospital services for the management of epilepsy.
