Abstract: The pharmacological and therapeutic outcomes associated with drug chirality have become important issues in the last decade. Several antiepileptic drugs possess an asymmetric centre and little is as yet known about the clinical consequences of antiepileptic stereoselective drug action. Such information may also help in the understanding of the idiosyncratic toxicity and efficacy of these drugs. A compilation was thus made of all the drugs classified as antiepileptic/anticonvulsant in standard reference textbooks. [excerpt]
