Abstract: In todays world, systems where football and other sports are concerned, have become quite complex. This happened mainly due to the fact that sport has become an integral part of our lives and because fans and players have a degree of loyalty to the club. Many questions have been raised throughout the years. Such questions have been partly answered by case-laws. The emergence of the Bosman case and its effects brought also with it an increase in players' wages where some people agree that these wages are too high for the services which these players provide. Should a player employed with a team have the same rights as any individual recruited in any other job? Is sport an economic activity per se or should we categorize it as an entity on its own?
