Assisting the families of the disabled : EU policy and the Maltese response

Abstract

The world we live in, unfortunately enough tends to look down on minorities. Discrimination is more common then one can actually realize. People are discriminated for various reasons: ideology, race, religion, sexual orientation, and surely not the least, disability. Disability is a human condition that although nowadays is more openly discussed and widely accepted, surely enough, still leaves ground for certain discrimination.
