Abstract: L-Arcipelagu ta' Malta jinsab lejn ic-centru talMediterran fil-majjistral u xlokk. Qeghdin 96 kilometru 'l boghod mill-eqreb ponta fi Sqallija, 290 kilometru 'I boghod mill-eqreb xatt tal-Afrika ta' Fuq (jigifieri t-Tunezija) u 350 kilometru 'l boghod mill-kosta tal-Libja. Malta hija 1-ikbar gzira fl-arcipelagu kollu. Il-gzejjer lohra huma Ghawdex, Kemmuna, lgzejjer ta' San Pawl, Kemmunett, Filfla u l-Gebla !al-General. Lahhar erbgha Ii semmejna ma jghix hadd fuqhom u jistghu jigu kkunsidrati bhala blat. Malta hija 27-il kilometru twila b'arja ta' 245.7 kilometru kwadru. Fuq dawn ilgzejjer m'hemmx muntanji u lghola punt hija gholja fejn jinstabu l-Imdina u r-Rabat, xi madwar 253 metru 'l fuq mill-livell tal-bahar (Ritratt 1).
