Abstract: As warmer weather approaches, the threat of heat stress increases. Producers of broiler pigeons (Columba livia) need to anticipate this and have housing and managing procedures ready to respond. Effective summertime management is crucial for producers to achieve maximum weight gain in squabs and at the same time prevent undue stress on parent stock. By identifying heat stress symptoms, using appropriate cooling systems and supplying dietary requirements according to individual situations, such practices may be effective in relieving heat stress. Through hands-on experience and research, this study seeks to determine the effectiveness of certain measures in order to find the appropriate comfort zone.
