Abstract: The custom way of booking a holiday was to call up a travel agent, or go to his premises, and based on his recommendations, one would choose a holiday package. This has its limitations since the travel agent will suggests places that he might have personally visited and liked. This however does not mean that most people will like it too. The internet has changed the way people see the world and live their lives. Like many other industries, the travel industry has shifted to the World Wide Web and since then it changed people make use of it to plan their travel. The proposed solution would help facilitate the traveler with his holiday plan by providing a Web Decision Support System where the user would be able to enter his preferences in the web application and get a destination that he might like and, now or in the future, make plans to visit. The advantage about the solution is that the user will be able to get an indication of a place that he might like without knowing that the place might actually exist.
