Abstract: Multitudinous faces of the Andalusian dialect have been, and continue being, at the heart of many studies and investigations, since being a very particular linguistic variety, it always provides room for new discoveries and debates. What is possibly the most delicate and complicated path of linguistics has been chosen for this study. However, this is because it gives evident results even to those not so well-versed in the subject, and it also corresponds to a very evident feature in speech, namely phonetics. This study sets out to clarify the true diversities within the Andalusian dialect through phonetic analysis. Once order in ideas and concepts and an adequate usage of terms is established in one of the initial chapters, this study goes about enhancing the linguistic diversity between occidental Andalusia and oriental Andalusia, so that more value may be given to what is, in fact, a marvellous dialect. The pediments of the study are investigations which have been personally carried out in the relevant territories, and which at a later stage have been punctiliously analysed in order to be able to give opinions about what has already been declared by professors and philologists in this regard. There has also been opportunity to discuss phonetic features which are usually considered as minor, in order to test how legitimate such a status is. The pursuit of this study is that of providing an exclusive focus on the phonetical and phonological linguistic features which characterize the two areas which, linguistically speaking, majorly oppose one another. One should also mention that the same recordings show further distinctions in the lexical, morphosyntactic and semantic fields and which could hence act as a basis for further studies.
