Creativity is a complex phenomenon which necessitates a vast array of methods to understand its various segments. As a relatively young discipline it is in constant evolution with new emerging fields of study including the possible. Cognition involves the process of acquiring knowledge and making sense of things through learning, experience and the senses. From the point of view of creativity, these aspect merit attention and further exploration. Cognitive processes support creative production through creative cognition. Ward and Kolomyts (2019) affirm that the generation of complex concepts and outcomes in a cumulative way is unique to humans. Humans are able to think in a wide variety of different contexts and in complex ways. These are key features that distinguish us from other animal species.en_GB
