Abstract: This thesis seeks to explore the concept of student profiling through the aid of tangible user interfaces known as siftables. Through a series of educational games which are tailor made specifically for the student in question, professionals in this area will be able to create a correct student profile reflecting the student's main area of difficulty. These games will incorporate a user interface through which the student will interact and manipulate data by means of physical manipulation. The results obtained through these games will enable the professional to conclude whether the student's difficulties are such that the student requires further consultation. This thesis is not intended to purpose a solution to any single problem. It will purpose a new view of the interface and raise a set of research questions with regards to tangible user interfaces.
