| Abstract: | In this project, a Location-Based Recommendation System will be developed on an Android Platform. It will provide users with information about specific venues in the area they are in. When a person turns on the mobile application, he/she is asked to log in the system via his/her username and password. The places of interest and entertainment will appear on the screen showing on a Google Map as balloons. If the venues are visited by friends the balloons will show as green otherwise they will show as red. The user will be able to press on these markers and more information will appear on the mobile screen regarding the venue chosen by the user. The user has the chance of writing reviews about the venue visited and to leave a five star feedback and also to receive coupons about that particular venue. The information about the location of the user will always remain confidential. |
