Abstract: | Prediabetes, defined by an HbA1c ranging from 5.7% to 6.4%, may be accompanied by an increased risk of complications before progression to overt diabetes type 2. This early pathophysiological dysregulation often remains undiagnosed. Recent studies are claiming different phenotypes of prediabetes. |
