Abstract: Much of the research and development work in the aerodynamics field is done in wind tunnels. The essential requisite of the tunnel is that it provides a controlled flow of air in the testing area. Often tunnels are large and complex and have a large power consumption. The need arises for a smaller kind of wind tunnel which is more compact and is far easier to handle. The air flow bench is in the nature of a simple miniature wind tunnel; it can provide a controlled air stream for a number of different experiments. This project deals with the design, building and testing of a round turbulent jet apparatus which is to be fitted under the air box of the bench. After the design and the building of the apparatus several tests will be carried out and conclusions shall be drawn from the results obtained.
