Abstract: On-going studies on the Phoenician and Punic sanctuary at Tas-Silg, to which the University of Rome, 'La Sapienza' had dedicated eight seasons of excavation, link up with recent courses of enquiry in interdisciplinary research which involves archaeologists. enigraphists, historians of religions, and those dealing with problems relating to places of cult in the ancient Mediterranean. This paper proposes an evaluation of the distributions of areas of the sanctuary. and a formal, cultural, and religious reconstruction of the series of altars in its temenos
