Mobile technology is one of the most lucrative emerging technologies today. In the past decade, the mobile phone has converged from a simple device used solely for voice communication into a small computer capable of storing data, running applications and connecting to the Internet. In brief the mobile phone has adopted features typically associated with a personal computer but with the advantage of mobility. Although several advances have been made throughout this sector, and many have outlined its potential, we have still yet to see many applications being rolled out. The objective of this project is twofold. First, the project aims to exploit various mobile application development frameworks through the creation of a mobile betting suite, a suitable application that can be applied to several development frameworks and one which has commercial potential. Secondly, the project aims to create a model that adapts to the dynamic nature of the mobile sector by creating a framework that can be easily extended to support new services and technologies as they are rolled out.en_GB
