Abstract: In this report simulation of a complete power ' electronic system is explained and illustrated with the corresponding simulation models. This system consists of a de drive which is made up of an ac/dc converter, a de motor-load, compensator of wattless power for power factor improvement and current filters for elimination of undesirable current harmonics. The simulation software used is PSI, which is a block-oriented simulation software package. A mathematical model of the system being simulated is created and this is solved by using the corresponding blocks. The results obtained are illustrated in graphical form and are very close to theoretical ones.
