A monitoring system for CCITT4 outgoing telephone junctions exchange

Abstract

With the introduction of electronic exchanges, the need to update the currently working semielectronic exchanges to provide some of the numerous new facilities available on electronic exchanges, became quite obvious. Such facilities can be developed efficiently and at low costs with the interfacing of microprocessor controlled systems to the semielectronic exchanges. This thesis is concerned mainly with the development of a monitoring system for a common control semielectronic outgoing telephone junctions exchange built in accordance with CCITT4 specifications using a Z-80A microprocessor system.
