An administrative and managerial work experience report August 1988/1989

Abstract

As part of our two year diploma course in Educational Administration and Management, at the Malta University, we have undergone a working experience in a three star aparthotel at Balzan. Our work experience was spread over a period of two years namely July/August 1988 and August/September 1989. During this period we came into direct contact with systems of management, which we have been studying, thus helping us to bring together theory and practice. Since the hotel is not a very large one, it is run by the General Manager, The Assistant Manager and a limited number of staff members. We found it easier to understand better the system adopted and to be in direct contact with all departments.
