Abstract: The school chosen to gain administrative experience is a typical German school for young people who have already achieved a school level equivalent to Malta's secondary level. The report is introduced by the administrative preparations needed to visit the school and what lead me to choose the school. The education system in the German primary and secondary levels constitutes the second part. The next part deals with teacher qualification and assessment. The fourth part sets the scene with a short description of Lauingen a.d.Donau and a brief history of the school. Next follows a description of the school administration. The sixth part deals with the organisation and management of the school. The various aspects of the school's work are then considered. The penultimate part of the report then deals with the role of teachers. The report is then concluded by stating the benefits resulting from the visit, comparing the school with my own, the challenges and future prospects of vocational education.
