Planning and design of a national transmission system including fibre cables and digital radio links

Abstract

In today's fast world there is the need to communicate with one another as efficiently as possible. A good telecommunication system is the backbone of any country's economic development. Our country needed to adopt a modern fully digital telecommunication system. Such an activity is a major breakthrough. Planning for such a system requires to have enough capacity, flexibility and adequate technology for the present and future demands. This thesis analysis the national demand and goes on into fibre optic transmission technology. It also suggests ways to improve our network for any future developments.
