Abstract: St. John's College is a coeducational Independent Lasallian School situated in Southsea. Boarding facilities are also available on the College campus. In line with its stated mission, the College, as a Catholic school, seeks to provide a stimulating environment, enabling "the whole person" to develop full academic and personal potential. Within the discipline of academic achievement, the curriculum covers the basic subjects that meet National Minimum requirements. Furthermore, a number of sporting activities as well as non-sporting societies thrive at the College. The aim of this long essay is the observation, reflection and evaluation of the administrative practices at St. John's College, and their relevance to the local situation in schools, especially at De La Salle College.
