Abstract: This dissertation describes the design steps and the theoretical background of the project "SPEED MEASUREMENT BY THE DOPPLER EFFECT". The theoretical principles underlying this project, could be well-defined into two basic sections; namely the Doppler Affect theory and Microwave theory. A substantial part of this dissertation delves into the theoretical principles of microwaves and also presents a general study of microwave components and techniques. This dissertation also includes an analysis of a microwave link and a report of its operation. Finally, as a further academic exercise, directed towards gaining a deeper insight of microwave technology, a series of practical sessions were conducted on a microwave measurement setup and a short report is presented here.
