dc.description.abstractWeb applications have become very popular today and we use them daily in order to get a service over the internet. It is for this very reason that these applications are important to be as reliable and as free from bugs as possible; something that can only be achieved by testing. The aim of this project is to produce an automated model-based testing tool by which web developers can test their websites efficiently and effectively. Through this system, web developers or testers would be provided with a tool whereby the only thing that has to be catered for is the construction of the models. The tester can then select the different test case coverage algorithms by which to test the web application, after which all the testing process can be left to be done automatically. Furthermore, the verdict of the success or failure for each test case is done automatically as well, leaving the web developer to let the system do all the testing for him/herself. Results can then be viewed and analyzed from an HTML page, whereby all of the necessary details would be included for the tester to detect where the failures in the application reside. Having an automated system helps replace the tedious task of manual testing, whilst also helps in saving lots of time and money throughout the whole development cycle.en_GB
