Abstract: In the first part of this dissertation, I have researched into the perennial issue regarding the interplay between the education of youth and the World of work. In the second part, I have researched into the situation locally regarding the link between Education and Industry: How strong is this link? Who would benefit from a good relationship between Education and Industry? In the third and final part, I have looked into the question whether the educational system in the Trade Schools (as they are presently run) is being effective. (I have concentrated only on Trade Schools for boys). I have conducted a questionnaire among industrialists, personnel from Government departments and parastatal corporations in order to find out their views from experience in employing school leavers from Trade Schools.
