Abstract: This study focuses on the usage of social media as a social tool to maximise the potential of such tools. The web application, via text mining techniques, helps determine what makes a good post, by suggesting which of the noun phrases in previous posts generated most engagement. Other information like what time is best for maximum outreach and who will most likely interact with the posts is also presented. The web application processes and analysis a Facebook Page's feed to extract such knowledge and present it to the user in graphical format. A posting function is also available which facilitates the process of posting to a Facebook Page from the web interface. The web application makes use of text mining techniques to extract hidden knowledge in Facebook posts, and aid a Page manager in being more effective by achieving the most reach. Posts are extracted from the user's managed Page's feed and relevant data is stored into a database. Data mining techniques, such as noun extraction, are applied to the posts to extract nouns, which are then analysed against other factors to determine the actual reach per noun. The user is presented with a Web 2.0 compliant web application which acts as an interface in between the user, Face book and the web application.
