| Abstract: | Ultrasonography is usually the first imaging modality used in the primary imaging evaluation of the kidney. A correct, timely and accurate diagnosis of focal renal lesions is of crucial importance. Contrast-enhanced ultrasound and image fusion-technique are new developments available to the modern sonographer. In this article we describe technical aspects related to CEUS and image-fusion and discuss their use in the characterisation of renal lesions. |
