In my two weeks at Angmering I was constantly aware of the high level of educating at the school. I can confirm without a doubt that Angmering is as close to a perfect school as any teacher can get to in a lifetime of teaching. I will be furnishing proof of my above statement throughout this write-up, feeling comfortable in my first-hand true impressions arising also against my own background and experience of over 30 years in different local educational institutions. In my research work, I have given particular attention to three areas of the school's curriculum: (i) Learning and Support Development and Inclusive Education (Equal Opportunities and Social Awareness); (ii) P.E. and Sport (Team Spirit and Healthy Competition); (iii) Art and the Performing Arts (Self-Expression) At Angmering Secondary school I was able to delve into all the different sectors of the school and follow the various stages and co-ordinated links within the same school. I attended a large number of meetings and interviewed the Head and Deputy Heads several times during my stay. I was also able to observe various lessons and talk to a number of teachers and students. I also included a teacher's questionnaire which sheds light on the teachers' views and opinions. Moreover, a number of interesting suggestions were proposed by the teachers in the questionnaire. I am indeed very grateful to Mr Evea, the Head of School, and his three Deputy Heads for their kind co-operation and contribution throughout my stay. The understanding and collaboration of the all the staff were vital to my research work. The scope of my visit to Angmering Secondary School was essentially to establish the Head's and Deputy Heads' roles and responsibilities and observe the dynamics of administration and management at the school. My aim was to study the administrative, academic and pastoral structures and to follow the delegation of responsibilities within the school. I intended also to single out any problems and needs faced by the school administration and teaching staff. The school curriculum is not singled out as such but it pervades the whole research work. The holistic formation of the student is at the centre of all activities at Angmering.en_GB
