As the days go by the Internet is becoming a necessary tool due to its enormous pool of data covering all the possible topics one can think of. People are using it more and more, not only as their main means of communication, but also to acquire knowledge of their interest. Motivated from this fact, many computer scientists are directing their research towards automatic retrieval of data from the Internet. The Internet also brought with it the development of new technologies. Of the new technology that is gaining popularity is that of Blogs. Blogs are like diaries where users can enter anything they like to their Blog. Many users tend to share their experiences with the other users. These experiences can include various reviews of products and services that they used. Through RSS the readers can obtain directly any updates that are done to their favourite blogs. In this way the reader does not need to check for new entries all the time. In this dissertation Blogs are used to gather different experiences of different products from a number of people. By performing sentiment analysis on these reviews people can have a collection of products with different unbiased pros and cons as experienced by other people. Manufacturers can also analyze the sentiment of the people for a particular product as time goes by, and thus improve on future products.en_GB
