Most would say that this is not good news. lt has implications for personal short-term and long-term health, not to mention the financial burden on the national health service and, consequently, the nation's coffers. So who's to blame for these statistics? Are we as individuals responsible? Or are there other factors which directly or indirectly act as barriers to achieving and maintaining a healthy weight?
