Abstract: SDG 2 is focused on ensuring that all people have access to enough quality food to sustain themselves, and to promote and maintain their health. Particular attention is given to the sustainability of the sources of food, and to the nutrition of vulnerable groups such as infants, young children, adolescent girls, pregnant and lactating women, and older persons. SDG 2 is inextricably linked to the other SDGs. Without reducing and eliminating hunger and malnutrition by 2030, the achievement of other SDGs is compromised. [excerpt]
