Abstract: This long essay discusses the methodology to be adopted for the restoration of two masonry gates located in the gardens of Palazzo Parisio in Naxxar, This palace dates to the early 19th Century but still reflects a baroque influence. The dissertation includes a general description of the palace and its gardens focusing on the time of Marquis Giuseppe Scicluna. The present state of the structures is described in detail as part of the documentation preceding the restoration method statement. The study includes an analysis of the materials used in its construction and proposed interventions.
