Data transmission between two computers via a microwave link

Abstract

This dissertation describes the theoretical background and the design steps involved in the project "Data Transmission Between Two Computers Via A Microwave Link". The report given in this dissertation can be divided in two main parts : 1. To get a deeper insight of microwave systems; 2. To implement a microwave system and to write the necessary computer programs which allowed data to be transferred between the two computers. The first part of this dissertation delves into the theory of microwave systems and the principle of operation of various devices used in such systems, while in the second part, a description of the circuits involved and the development of the computer programs is given.
