A catalogue of a part of the print collection at the Cathedral Museum, Mdina

Abstract

The primary object of this long assignment is to provide a working model for an eventual descriptive catalogue of the entire print collection belonging to the Cathedral Museum at Mdina. Secondly to show the suitability of chapter eight in part one of the Anglo-American Cataloguing Rules, 2nd edition as a cataloguing code or guide for the graphic arts. Finally to contribute towards a better evaluation and appreciation of the said print collection. This work is in two sections. The first part contains the prelims, including a brief introduction, whilst the second part is entirely taken by the catalogue proper.
