| Abstract: | The project consists of a study on the techniques employed in the protection of semiconductor switching devices, with a particular emphasis on the power Mosfet. A general description is found on the theory of protection, related definitions and calculations. In order to demonstrate concepts in protection, a short-circuit proof drive circuit was constructed for the Mosfet- Related software programs were written in BASIC. |
