Abstract: The aim of the project is to develop models of power networks, in particular those of ring main and radial circuits, followed by a computer program which can be used for their load flow analysis. The program must be general and flexible so that it can be applied for any network type irrespective of size and structure. The primary interest lies in the analysis of distribution networks. The program could then be used to design reinforcement schemes for existing overloaded distributors in the Maltese Electricity Supply Network.
