Abstract: The data logger described here, was primarily designed for use at the Austrian Maltese Research Centre (AMRC). The main aims of this research centre is to collect data about weather parameters which are required to study the possible use of alternative sources of energy, and to perform experiments on actual systems and test their performance. As these experiments are carried out at any time of the year, their performance depends greatly upon the parameters of the weather at the moment. The logger would thus provide data of all parameters from past years, and the performance of any system under experimentation can be predicted for any time of the year.
