dc.description.abstractThis research study is an overview of how the present roles and functions of MEPA impact on the main stakeholders. The paper primarily considers to identify, define and classify the real meanings of roles, functions and stakeholders and distinguish the purpose and significance of MEPA as an official public regulator in terms of the Environment and Planning Act. In addition, the research will give weight to the four main pillars as the key principles which underpinned the latest MEPA reform, Consistency, Efficiency, Accountability and Enforcement. It also intends to study the present roles and functions of MEPA by exploring how the stakeholders have been affected by MEPA' s latest reform. The project concludes with a set of concluding remarks following the considerations and outcomes of the paper seasoned through interviews and proposes a way forward with a view to improving the sustainability of the roles and functions of MEPA.en_GB
