Abstract: This study was carried out with the aim of understanding reading patterns of secondary male students attending a male Church school in Malta. A study of the reading patterns followed by these students during the five years of secondary school constitutes one part of the present study. The other part discusses the access to books and electronic resources which these boys have at home and in school. The kind of access and how they utilize this access is analysed in this study. By means of the literature review on these aspects, comparison is made between Maltese and foreign students of the same age and sex.
