| Abstract: | The purpose of my work is to present an overview of the present situation of computerisation of school libraries in Malta, bearing in mind existing systems currently adopted in other countries. Special reference will be given to the pilot-programme initiated by the Schools Library Service, currently being used by seven State schools and also by the S.L.S. The effectiveness of the software chosen will also be evaluated. This work will also try to analyse the implimentation of this pilot-programme in all school libraries in Malta and Gozo including some of the envisaged problems. |
