dc.description.abstractResearch carried out on Laser Material Deposition (LMD) processes includes extensive series of experiments for determining parameter values. These can be reduced in number by applying a Ramped Deposition technique, in which a process parameter is varied during the deposition of a single track. The potential applications for the deposition of transient parameter tracks are considered.en_GB
