It is common that people change their job, mostly for a better wage. People who have job satisfaction and feel proud of their contribution to the Company's prospects, tend to retain their job. The theoretical part of the study gives the psychological aspect of how we feel about ourselves. It is an established fact that a person's self-esteem is reflected in how he behaves socially and at his workplace. The aim of the project is to investigate how the workers at Simonds Farsons Cisk plc (SFC) feel about their job and the Company. Through a questionnaire containing some simple questions, a representative number of workers were given an opportunity to analyse and make an appraisal of their pride and self-esteem related to their job. The results were added up, listed, and represented by various charts for easy reference. The survey is used to appraise the workers' sense of commitment and loyalty to the Company, whilst formulating a business policy or strategy or even a work process. Key findings indicate that the respondents are quite happy with the Company. This comes out of the fact that, although some of them would like improvement in certain areas, most of them feel a sense of belonging to the Company.en_GB
