| Abstract: | The technical qualifications and competencies of persons who erect tower scaffoldings are possibly the most essential factors in preventing accidents for the scaffolders themselves, for those who use the scaffoldings and for any passers-by, including very often the general public. In Malta are there any professional tower scaffolders? What training do they get and if yes are they applying it when they come to erect tower scaffoldings? Through this study I wanted to find out and compare the regulations of tower scaffoldings existing in Malta and in other countries plus the competencies of the local and foreign scaffolders. |
