Abstract: Many private dwellings, only require an evacuation procedure. On the other hand many employers make use of an evacuation procedure. The purpose being to protect their more valuable assets, that is their employee, to the max that they can. While building structures, equipment, etc can be replaced reasonably quickly, hiring and training new employees is both costly and time consuming, hence affecting negatively the production capabilities of the facilities involved. This work will mainly describe the following to ensure a comprehensive evacuation procedure complemented by a roll call system: - legislation in force, - how should an emergency evacuation be performed, - the PBGA assembly's present emergency evacuation system, - recent survey results, and - any recommendations for fine tuning of the system.
