Abstract: From all the data gathered, both from the diverse literatures and from the farm experiences, a good level of dairy cattle reproduction was noticed and registered amongst the 5 farms investigated. Furthermore, the Maltese dairy cattle reproduction is overall satisfactory especially because the ideal average of pregnancy is maintained. Maltese farmers do have basic knowledge about topics like; timing of insemination, avoidance of heat stress, check rectal palpation for good ovaries, rebreed again if cows are diagnosed not pregnant, postpartum examinations and pregnancy diagnosis. Nonetheless, pathological investigation regarding certain diseases, reproductive failures and disorders, record keeping and nutrition could be given their due importance by the Maltese farmers. Veterinarians and a cattle breeder were also important in carrying out my investigations and confirming results leading to the enhancement of the knowledge of dairy cattle reproduction.
