The purpose of this research is to expand on what is already known about the effect of different shift hours on cabin crew working within Air Malta. The research determined the best course of action for Air Malta management to implement new and improve occupational health and safety shift patterns. The study outlines the present working shift conditions of cabin crew and compares the different shift effects on cabin crew by means of a survey. Cabin crew reported feeling tired after waking up for early morning flights and during night flights. Fatigue and unruly and rude behaviour from passengers were the main stressors the cabin crew encountered, although most passengers tended to thank and praise the cabin crew. Most cabin crew reported remaining focused so their duties and responsibilities are not affected. Cabin crew are concerned that they do not spend enough quality time with their families and loved ones. After completion of my research activities, a copy of my findings will be presented a copy to Air Malta. The research should help construct an analysis which would improve the wellbeing of its cabin crew.en_GB
